Tronic Goes Big for GE
Tronic recently completed two spots for GE’s new Go Big campaign. The spots played on a 30-foot long media wall (also designed by Tronic) at Nextfest in NY.

I personally like the first one a little more, mainly because it showcases some painstaking labor. From Vivian at Tronic:
“The first few seconds are real blocks and then we composited in cg blocks with the boy and tracked them to match when they start to build up as the boy is playing. From then on out it’s all cg and except for the water (which is a particle system) the rest is modeled block by block.”

pretty fantastic…it really is a shame that the initial couple of blocks are the same shade as the filmed ones. They are brighter and obviously cg. They need to get on that. Darken em yo!

Wow. That spot has an uncanny resemblance to Nakd’s Box.

One more of how learning scripting can add a wonderful level of complexity to one’s work.
