Carl Burton: Drift

Carl Burton’s MFA thesis, “Drift” is a refreshing bit of experimental storytelling that uses the otherworldly yet familiar imagery of microscopic life as its backdrop.
“Drift” follows a humanoid character as it floats from landscape to landscape, interacting with strange creatures and generally getting itself into trouble. The sound design is wonderfully unexpected and contributes as much to the narrative arc as the visuals.
