Danny Yount and Prologue Films: The Invasion

Danny Yount has been directing top-notch title sequences for a while now. Perhaps his best-known effort was the opening for the Emmy Award-winning Six Feet Under (executed by an amazing team at Digital Kitchen), but his entire body of work reeks of talent and meticulous attention to detail. Now at Prologue Films, his newest title sequence for The Invasion continues in this tradition.

As with a lot of Danny’s title work, the compositions in The Invasion are beautifully balanced. While the entire sequence is backed by CG imagery, the glue that holds it all together is the layout and handling of the typographic elements.

Big ups to Shaun Collings for the tip on this one.
