A Short Love Story About A Short Love Story

I very rarely post works-in-progress, but there are so many beautiful moments in Carlos Lascano’s unfinished stop-motion project, that I had to share it here.

The lighting and ambiance in particular are what drew me to re-watch this piece several times, but I’m also intrigued by Carlos’ fiercely hybrid approach to filmmaking. I’m not saying it always works, but I love his “anything goes” attitude; it imbues “A Short Love Story” with a joie de vivre befitting its happily ever after theme.

  1. really nice… I really love the entire ambiance he has created. I love the colors and the textures.. The music also suites the entire clip well. very nice… Oh, what’s the title of the music by the way? I heard it from somewhere but I couldn’t quite remember the title and the artist…

  3. Sr Carlos, gostaria de lhe pedir primeiramente desculpas , pois postei seu vídeo com uma musica minha para ela.
    Ela adorou, o problema é que centenas de pessoas estão amando o vídeo com a musica aqui no brasil.
    Um canal de TV me convidou para ir me apresentar e falar do meu trabalho e também do seu trabalho.
    E agora sinto que está no ponto de remover ou continuar a divulgar este vídeo.
    Acredito que seja bom para ambos. Eu apenas sou musico , filho de pescadores e juntei todos os recursos que tenho para gravar meu trabalho.

  4. Love it.. just found it on Gregory Michaels blog.. and rewatched it for serveral times…. it fragile.. it sad.. although i find it sad.. and the music is intense
