Hey guys. Some of your may know this, but I was in Paris for about 4 months working with NAKeD and this was one of the projects that I personally created working under Patrick Delobelle. He is a an extraordinary creative director and someone who actually allows to the designer to do what they do best: design. Out of everything that I created for the NRJ Music Awards, I believe this one really represented the musical artist as well as achieved the goal of the project. One side note, that Patrick brought to my attention, was to take into consideration not only the audience at the venue but also the audience at home at what they will see in the camera. I hope you enjoy these graphics as well as all the rest from the NRJ Awards as they were all created by NAKeD.

it's cool, but there is no direct translation from the aural to the visual. The animation is not driven by the frequencies of the song... should it be? i donno. obviously that would require some sick run-time programming with Max MSP or Processing or Flash(if they'd fix the micInput class)... I've been fascinated with run-time visuals (or whatever they will eventually be referred to as) ever since i saw this from Mr. Reznor's posse:
