I loved it the concept and execution, but there’s one place where the execution fails: translation (unless I’m missing the joke). When the subtitle “Blue” is on screen, the actor is in fact saying “Green” in Cantonese. Then, when the subtitle says “Green”, the actor is in fact saying “Purple.”

It’s sad when such a well-executed piece cuts corners on translation, especially when it features Chinese actors, language, and food so prominently. I think it shows a failure to respect Cantonese-speaking members of the audience, and those who contributed their faces, voices, and translation to the production.

Hopefully there can be some clarification or correction on the matter; I’ll drop the filmmakers a line directly, as well.

Oh, I’m so sorry about your dog and your father!!!
I dont have any problem with CG. Its the motionographer site, right?
Anyway I mean some pieces have great CG look but pour idea. I preffered ideas over the technical virtue. That’s all.

Beautiful ! It feels like they had a lot of fun making this one, and that passes directly across to the viewer.

I love the soundtrack / audio engineering as well.

Yeah because CG raped my dog and killed my father.

I don’t give a damn if this is done with or without the support of CG as long as there’s a good idea behind it and not just some erratic strands flying past my head.

In this case 5 stars from me.
