It looks to me like the director, Jérémie Périn, was weened on a diet of Urotsukidōji and darkness that is required to conjure up such a delicious slice of evil.

What an interesting concept, it definitely took a turn i did not expect which TBH was refreshing to note. I was left wishing to see this as a full feature, it does look to have high potential for a complex story.
