  1. motion’s great. A very social conference with lots of fun talks from industry pros that fire up the imagination. This is my third year going. Albuquerque’s got its own charm (the Balloon Fiesta runs over the same weekend), the conference is well-run and brings in great people, and all in all it’s a terrific experience. It’s kind of like going to TED, except more easy-going.

  2. Every year I wish I could attend Motion again. I was lucky enough to attend in 2010 and it was one of the most fulfilling events of my professional life. Unfortunately my employer was unable to send me the past few years, but with a new job I hope to attend again next year.

The organizers of the conference are the most genuine people in this industry. They bring together the worlds best creatives to talk about their craft and encourage attendees and speakers to eat and talk in order to share ideas and inspiration. I met some of my mograph heroes and talked with them one on one. Such a cool experience.

Albuquerque is such a special town, a good balance of small city charm, amazingly nice and creative people, and such a unique culture. Get tickets for the ballon festival, it’s like a county fair with the most beautiful display of hot air balloons. Also check out the Indian pueblo cultural center (especially on dance days) and their really awesome restaurant (fry breads!). Also eat everything you can with green chilies on it, best food in the world.

I can’t say enough great things about this conference and New Mexico, truly my favorite place in the world!

  3. Thank you for the kind words Scott! Our goal with motion has always been to make it a very unique, intimate event for creatives. Something that can even change your life. We love it when we see previous attendees describe it in this way. Mission accomplished. I hope to see you next year!
