PS Animation Gamechanger?

AnimDessin2 is the latest release of a powerful Photoshop plugin that creates a helpful palette of tools for traditional (i.e. frame-by-frame) animation.

The current version of the tool was created by Stephane Baril. Previous versions were created with the help from tigoboAnimation co-founder Reno Armanet.

Download

Download for Photoshop CC or Photoshop 6. (Requires Adobe Exchange Panel extension, which you can find here.)

i downloaded adobe extension manager but where do I download the tool? and what is its name?

Ryan Hannigan

so I downloaded AnimDessin2 and restarted PS but its not in my extensions… am I doing something wrong?

Ryan Hannigan

OK so i need animdessin for cs6 i think… i just cannot get to download that

Yeah, it’s a little tricky.

1. For PS6, first you have to install the Adobe Exchange Panel. It’s on the bottom half of this page:

https://www.adobeexchange.com/download

2. Relaunch Photoshop. Within Photoshop, go to Window > Extensions > Adobe Exchange.

3. In the window that pops up (still within Photoshop), search for “AnimDessin.” You should be able to install it from there.

You’ll have to relaunch PS once the process is complete.

Hi Ryan,

Thanks to Justin to reply for me :)

For Photoshop CS6, you need to download AnimDessin (and not AnimDessin2 which for CC only):

Here the direct link to download Adobe Exchange Panel for CS6:

Then follow the Justin’s instructions :)

This looks great, definitely going to download. Really good explanation too, its fantastic that people are doing stuff like this.

Stéphane Baril (@sbaril)

Thanks George!
And for me, it’s fantastic that people are doing so beautiful animations, and that’s the reason why I created it ;)

I unfortunately do not have either version of Photoshop, But this seems like a really great option for animators.. is there no way to make it work for SC5 or SC5.5, and if not are there any plug ins you can recommend?
