Griff: Stephen King “Mr Mercedes”

Griff, who created the beloved short “Wish List,” is back with a compilation of promos for Stephen King’s latest novel “Mr Mercedes.” The premise for the book sounds like a Stephen King version of The Avengers, and it explains the mash-up of references in the promos:

In a mega-stakes, high-suspense race against time, three of the most unlikely and winning heroes Stephen King has ever created try to stop a lone killer from blowing up thousands. [Source]

The short is reminiscent of Buck’s landmark “Metamorphosis” short, but with a sprinkling of 3D elements, Griff’s distinctive illustration style and more active camera movement, this is a project unto itself.

Update: Griff pointed out in the comments that very talented Robert Ball was responsible for some of the key character designs.
