Art Director / Graphic Designer
at KOFY TV 20 / Cable 13 in San Francisco
KOFY TV 20/Cable 13 has an immediate opening for an Art Director/Graphic Designer. Successful candidate will be organized, deadline and detail-oriented, possess excellent communication and collaborative skills and be well rounded in all facets of 3D and 2D design for broadcast, web and print. Position reports to the Marketing/Promotion Director
Responsibilities Include:
• Extensive experience on the Mac G-5 with Adobe Illustrator, After Effects, Photoshop, Flash and Cinema 4D programs.
• Work with Promotion Manager and Promotion Department to develop innovative designs, graphics, animations and other elements to support the station’s unique brand and image.
o All aspects of station promotion; including topical spots, event marketing, “image” campaigns as well as public service announcements and campaigns.
• Work with Programming, Sales and Production to develop innovative designs, graphics, animations and other elements for:
o Local programming; including animated opens, bumps, backgrounds, billboards and lower thirds
o Commercials and Sales Presentations
o Web and print applications.
o Station events, contests, special campaigns and vehicle wraps.
o Station collateral materials
o All other Graphic needs as required.
o Familiarity with Final Cut Pro is preferred
o Familiarity with 3D programs is preferred
• Knowledge about web design and applications. This position is responsible for the overall look and feel of kofytv.com.
• Work closely with Promotion Manager to set priorities and manage graphic workload.
• The ideal candidate will have a can do attitude, work well with others in the close knit KOFY family, and will have a knowledge of the Bay Area.
Requirements:
• College degree preferred
• Prior graphic design experience in TV essential
• Must be available to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Pre-employment drug screening required
