Intern (Motion Graphics)

SPIN is looking for an enthusiastic intern to work in our design dept at SPIN Toronto. (Motion Graphics).
We need a commitment of a minimum of 2-3 days per week / to assist with the SPIN motion graphics animators...

Duties might include:
- R&D in the Design Dept
- prepping files for our design team in After Effects / Photo Shop / Illustrator / Dreamweaver or Cinema 4
- assisting the team (as per the Creative Directors/ Designers)
- must be a good listener & communicator and be a self starter
- updating postings on our ftp site (if they have some html experience)
- helping with our e-promos / SPIN marketing - example of a SPIN epromo : http://www.spinpro.com/pr_news/TVO/TVO_2009.html
- may attend meetings (as an observer)
- help with file or studio organizing
- misc / unexpected things may come up
- reports to Lisa Hemeon (to keep track of involvement / hours, etc

A Buddhist Master’s first words to his student are “I have nothing to teach you”. At SPIN we understand this philosophy but that doesn’t mean that you have nothing to learn.
SPIN is an award-wining VFX and Design studio. Our facilities integrate an array of artists, designers and VFX experts who together contribute to a vibrant and creative production environment.
We look for exceptional interns who are passionate about design and knowledgeable in using After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver or Cinema 4D. You should also be motivated, conscientious, kind, curious, and helpful with a friendly and out-going nature.
This in an unpaid position, but is a valuable opportunity for the right person that is wiling to put in the effort. Please be prepared to spend at least 2 – 3 days per week with us for a minimum of 6 - 8 weeks.
