STAFF VIZRT PROGRAMMER - NFL NETWORK

NFL NETWORK is looking for a programmer with initiative, results oriented and with high standards of performance. Strong oral communication and listening skills. Excellent team oriented and interpersonal skills with co-workers, managers, and clients. Selected candidate will be able to prioritize tasks and to work on several assignments simultaneously without supervision. Must have the ability to execute company and departmental goals with spirit and commitment.
RESPONSIBLITIES
• Develop front end solutions for the VizRT Platform
• Provide operational application support to VizRT graphics teams and system users
• Implement operational process and workflow solutions in production graphics systems and in sports newsroom environment
• Recommend and implement system efficiencies, including product library management
• Provide systems design and process support for distribution of VizRT functionality into other distribution platforms and product lines
• Troubleshoot, replicate, diagnose and escalate application and system-related issues and bugs
• Assist in the development of unique plugins and scripting solutions for the VizRT environment, as well the graphics department infrastructure.
• Test and support VizRT suite software upgrades, and help coordinate operational installation
• Manage VizRT testbed resources and use of the testbed by external groups
• Prepare, communicate, and document all procedures and changes
• Work with database administrators to manage database storage requirements
REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to thoroughly troubleshoot, replicate and diagnose issues and bugs
• Understanding of graphical design packages and practices
• Experience in Visual Basic Scripting (VB Script) or other common scripting languages such as Perl and shell scripting
• Windows O/S administrative skills
• Must be available to do occasional shift work, including nights and weekends
• Must be proficient with basic office computers and word processing programs
TECHNICAL SPECIFICS
Knowledge of the following programs are required:
• C# (.NET Framework 3.5)
• WPF
• Silverlight 3
• WinForms
• SQL (with SQL Server 2005)
• Socket programming
• SVN
Additional useful programming skills:
• VBScript
• C++ with Quicktime APIs
Also helpful is proficiency in web-development frameworks such as:
• Java with JSP, Servlets, JavaBeans, JDBC
• ASP.Net
• LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
• Ruby on Rails (RoR)
• Grails
