A New Belief System

Long-standing Cream member Belief’s commercial/broadcast/design arm has turned into a fully fledged studio of its own, Belief Design. Belief, meanwhile, has become the locus for a bunch of new content-creation projects, which you can check out on their site.

But enough about industry happenings. Belief Design has a kick ass body of work already online. Of their latest work for Nike, I’m really digging the first-person camera work on the Steven Jackson spot. The Herbal Essences and Playboy spots sport what I might call “classic” Belief stylings: flowing organic imagery backed by ace compositing.

And I was surprisingly delighted by the (mostly) cel-animated Onitsuka Tiger spot. It’s brimming with personality, and the pacing is spot on.
