World of Warcraft:”Wrath of the Lich King” Main Title
This cinematic game title for “World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King” is an epic and powerful piece that wields some magnificent shots and some seriously beautiful animation. Monumental matte paintings and a dynamic sound track are the icing on cake.
Also some nice process and development artwork over at the game’s website! ENJOY!
UPDATE: We were wondering which studio was responsible for this, and it turns out Blizzard does all their own work in house. Pretty impressive! Thanks for the info in the comments, Blackbag!

Why is this not a movie. There is nothing like it, not even the final fantasy movie came close to this, and this is just a trailer. Amazing soundtrack also.
Blizzard has always been one for producing amazing cinematics like this (you’d probably be equally impressed with their previous installments). If I recall, there was some talk about a feature length in the works… somewhere…

Yeh, Blizzard announced some time ago that they would be working with Legendary Pictures on a live action picture though nothing else has been said about the project since and I believe it might be on hold.

I love the aqua and turquoise color pallet. From the deep blue glacier ice to the burning blue steam. It’s great how in every single shot there is so much production value. This is the best CG snow I’ve seen.
Digging the “Frazetta” influence here, all the frames are amazing paintings. Great!
