PepperMelon: Lucchetti

Buenos Aires-based PepperMelon shows off their character animation skills in this series of entertaining adverts for Lucchetti. The characters’ snappy but understated gestures are punctuated by pregnant pauses that make for some truly chuckle-worthy moments.

Don’t miss the character development and kitchen design pages for a little making-of sweetness. It’s really interesting to see the evolution towards simplicity and the amount of work the PepperMelon team put into tiny details.

If you haven’t visited their site in a while, take some time to spin through PepperMelon’s portfolio. It’s full of playful, polished work.

    Nice illustrations, nice renderings.
But the “homage” of the original ‘Mana-Mana’ song is not adding anything. The animation is cute, not as cute as the Aardman ones… but I can’t help to wonder in the end what is it supposed to sell?

Really cute spots. I love how the golden retriever is a real dog, giving you a strange sense of scale with the characters.

Only found the blender one funny. The rest are cute but not clever. The whole style kind of creeps me out.
