Two needles in the haystack

With the neverending firehose that has become our social feeds and the constant content that has followed, it’s only natural that the amount of visually stunning work being produced is at an all-time high. While at the same time we’re left feeling like there is less “good” work being produced…

It’s honestly become nearly impossible to keep up with! By the time you finish watching one amazing thing, the next one is already vying for your attention, and so on.

In the current climate, it can be very hard for anything to stand out and be memorable. Work comes and goes and with so much of it being produced and so much of it looking the same, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to leave a lasting impact.

Thankfully, that isn’t the case with the new films “Floreana” by Louis Morton and the music video for Lightning Bolt “Blow To The Head” by Caleb Wood.

Both animations are vastly different but they both share a similar hypnotic pull. The time spent watching these films simply melts away and you find yourself immersed in the worlds they create.

Regardless of your taste in animation, I’d like to think that anyone can appreciate the mesmerizing quality of these films.

Enjoy!
