Carl Graham | Dry Bones

Carl Graham

From the creator:

Dry Bones is a (really) short film inspired by the imagery that always felt so visceral to me when I read the passage on the Valley of Dry Bones in Ezekiel 37:1-14. It strikes me how things can feel so macabre and so hopeful at the same time (not an uncommon theme in the Bible).

This started out with more shots and more technical challenges which eventually had to be cut in service of the final piece. I'm so grateful to Michael Jones and Jesus Suarez of Mograph Mentor for all their feedback, to the inspiring work of Tom Crate, and to Roj the Goat, my classmate for the program! Most of all, I'm grateful for my wife, Kim Tomacruz Graham for her unflinching support and encouragement as I continue to learn in this world of CGI.
