Colourmovie Updates

Colourmovie has just injected some great new work into their portfolio. The reel’s the same as before, but the Featured Projects area has been almost entirely revamped with fresh action.

The Yokohoma spot is a great starting point, and it captures a lot of what I like about Colourmovie. They have a knack for creating what I might call “lushly simple” compositions. I know that’s a totally oxy moronic thing to say, but there’s a strong sense of compositional and chromatic balance in their projects, and I think “lushly simple” wraps it up.

For more of Colourmovie’s lushly simple brilliance, check out the They Might Be Giants “Shadow Government” video and the show package for Style’s “Kimora.”

I really like the yokohama spot, except where the camera is moving at almost the same speed as the tread. That part made for a strange floating effect.

nice work!

That Yokohama spot used an idea I had been hoping to find the time for. Oh well, by the time I get around to doing what I wanted this spot will be long forgotten.
