To This Day is live!

Over a month ago To This Day project asked animators and motion artists to pitch in to animate one of Shane Koyczan‘s spoken word poems to confront bullying, a lot of you did. And here is the final result.

To This Day is a project based on a spoken word poem written by Shane Koyczan called “To This Day”, to further explore the profound and lasting impact that bullying can have on an individual.

Schools and families are in desperate need of proper tools to confront this problem. We can give them a starting point… A message that will have a far reaching and long lasting effect in confronting bullying.

Animators and motion artists brought their unique styles to 20 second segments that will thread into one fluid voice.

This collaborative volunteer effort demonstrates what a community of caring individuals are capable of when they come together. To This Day was Produced by Giant Ant

No comments? Just a quickie? Surprising…I’d think everyone could relate in some way…

This is easily the most powerful piece I’ve seen this year, if not for a long time. The poem and audio design is gripping on it’s own and the visuals amazingly do it justice. I have to applaud everyone involved. I’m suprised it’s a quickie. There’s not many things on this site right now that hit as hard as this does. Not to discredit the other amazing work, but more so to give this one it’s props.

This piece left me paralyzed.

+ 1 for moving this to a featured piece.

I’ve seen few motion pieces that aren’t purely self-promotional or trying to push a needless product and instead deliver such a resounding, impactful message. Superb work. This is the kind of positive work that only artists can deliver that benefits us all as a community.

Double +1 for moving it

What a beautiful, poignant piece! I just completed a bully prevention training with 60 school staff today. I shared this video at the end…it was loved by all! Thank you so much for sharing!
