What makes him a hipster exactly? Way to disregard people by throwing labels at them.

I can clarify: Suit, suspenders, mountain man button shirt, beard, bad dancing, auto tune, retro graphics, Nu Disco sound… Saved myself all that typing with a single word. It’s a great word. I suppose if he had painted nails, eyeliner, black lipstick, and was carrying on about darkness my comment would be “Goths” Does that mean i’m disregarding him? or just making an observation. Musicians are all about image, they work hard on it. So forgive me if his seems played out and somewhat tired, and easily summed up in a single word. Maybe i’m jaded from living in Brooklyn and LA.

You’re right. It is reductive. Hipsters is a broad term and, as any stereotype, unfair. Let me be clearer: I hate this video and the singer in it. He looks exactly like 97% of the idiots I see everyday walking down the street trying very hard to look apathetic. Is that better?

^ Wow Joe you sound pretty worked up about it. I wonder what type of guy you are? Is he the normal dressed guy that is boring as hell and thinks he is above everyone else somehow? The guy that is quiet in public and comes to hide behind anonymity on the internet to “Hate” on the people he sees during the day? Why don’t you put your profile pic up here so we can all judge you?

So what about the craft and work done in this video again?

I think the video is bizarre and fun and the goofy cyclops doing the singing and dancing is entertaining.

I love hipsters because when I get off the L train at Bedford Ave on Halloween, I’m confused as to who is in costume and who is not.

I haven’t seen the video but the thumbnail looks cool…I’ll watch it now
