Our brand new series, Ask Between the Keyframes, aims to answer all those niggling Motion Design questions you’ve been too afraid to ask.
This week’s question:
“What area of motion graphics has the biggest budgets and most creative freedom/ rewarding creative work? I feel like it used to be ad work before 2008, but when the crash came and I was working at Leo Burnett, things drastically changed after that. We saw droves of layoffs and never really had the same kind of work/budgets ever again.”
Erin and Austin will be back bi-weekly, offering their insights and expertise into the ever-evolving world of Motion Design.
Erin is president, owner, and creative director of Sarofsky Corp. She has been in the Motion Design industry since before it had a name, has been nominated for a Primetime Emmy and produced work for a who’s who of global brands and blockbuster movies.
Austin is the author of the genre-defining textbook Design for Motion: Fundamentals and Techniques of Motion Design. He is an Assistant Professor of Design at Western Washington University, where he draws on his 20 years of experience working with brands from Ferrari to FedEx, Spotify, Ralph Lauren, and VH1.
