This year, we’ve thrown everything at F5, knowing that our theme ‘Empath’ is more relevant now than ever. We’ve faced many hurdles and have been powering on, hoping to be a positive light for our community to flock to.
However, while we’ve been busy planning with Webster Hall, booking leading talent, and building the noise around the festival, we can’t ignore what’s happening in our city (and around the world).
Covid cases are on the rise again, and, as such, we’ve received safety concerns from both speakers and attendees. There is also a real possibility of a mask mandate being reinstated in New York City. This has forced us into open discussions about hosting a three-day inspirational event where people can’t see each other’s faces and to assess the comfort levels of having your mouth covered for such long periods.
After much deliberation, we have made the difficult call to postpone the event. Webster Hall has fully supported our decision, and we are currently assessing new dates, which we will announce soon.
We’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to all who have continued to support us through this difficult time.
We hope to reward that faith with the most spectacular F5 we’ve ever produced.
