Acclaimed Richmond, Virginia, design-centered animation studio Hue&Cry announces that Heart, Brains & Nerve has signed on to represent its award-winning talent for commercials, film, and content in the Midwest. The creative artist management company is led by founder Nathan Skillicorn who brings a wealth of diverse experience working with premiere production and post-production talent across a wide range of agencies and brands across advertising and entertainment.
“Nathan’s experience and enthusiasm, when it comes to animation, were major factors in our decision,” says Scott Friske, Executive Producer at Hue&Cry. “For years now agency producers in the Midwest have made Nathan an early call when looking for reputable animation studios. For Hue&Cry to join his roster of A-level shops is a win for our studio and we are confident his relationships will bring Hue&Cry into more conversations.”
Founded in 2010 by Skillicorn, Heart, Brains & Nerve, represents a unique and innovative global roster of talent in the ad world and entertainment industry. Skillicorn began his career by repping A-List animation companies for years in collaboration with Free Agents/Patricia Claire. He has since gone independent to curate an impressive roster of production companies. In addition to Hue&Cry, Skillicorn’s roster includes Believe Media, Schrom, Seed Media Arts, Friends Electric, Backyard Productions, Little Saint Media, The Bigger Picture, Havoc Content, Fellow, and LiveTribe.
Heart, Brains & Nerve will be seeking out new opportunities for Hue&Cry’s impressive roster of design and animation talent, and building on their existing relationships within the industry.
“When Scott reached out, we instantly hit it off. I was impressed by his dedication and I knew Hue&Cry was a great fit for my roster,” shares Heart, Brains & Nerve founder Nathan Skillicorn. “I’m excited to expand their brand here in the Midwest. I really like their playful style of animation and I’m looking forward to working with them to create captivating and memorable campaigns.”
On the West Coast, Hue&Cry continues to be represented by DeVine Reps and on the East Coast, by Rotholz Management.
Currently, Hue&Cry is in production on a SmartWater campaign out for VMLY&R, Kansas City for which they’ve already delivered 2D & 3D content for a Times Square out-of-home display that debuted during the Independence Day holiday weekend in New York City. Additionally, over the past year they have produced work for MSNBC’s “All In With Chris Hays,” Capitol One, Chase Bank, and Chi Chi’s for the Super Bowl LV.
