Submission Guidelines 2024

Projects

For anyone looking to submit their Quickies, here’s what you need to know:

Quickies are a fantastic way to showcase your work to our community. We like them fast, impactful, and memorable.

If you’re planning to submit your latest project, please make sure to read the guidelines below first.

How to submit your work

All Quickie submissions must be sent through our online submission form. We are a small team, and this platform helps us efficiently manage all incoming content.

Please note: We will not respond to projects sent via email.

What we’re looking for?

Before submitting your project, review our three C’s of content creation.

The more criteria your work meets, the better the chances of it being published.

Carving new ground

  • Is it innovative?
  • Does it push technology to new limits?
  • Has it been done before? If so, does it take the concept in a new direction or raise it to a new level of quality?
  • Does it challenge existing ideas?

 Concept

  • Is it built on a compelling concept?
  • Is the subject matter engaging?
  • Does it create a lasting emotional impact?

Craft

  • Is it exceptionally well-crafted?
  • Does its production process stand out for some reason?

The Rules of Engagement

Submit your project only once; do not resubmit the same piece if it has been not selected.

Still not sure?

Motionographer.com features thousands of projects by industry leaders. Check out some of our pieces from the past few years. Every platform has its own preferences, and understanding what we publish will help you decide what to send us.

Original and Authentic

Your project must be your original work.

Our response times

We aim to reply to all submissions within four weeks. Please avoid emailing us for feedback until this period has passed.

One final note

If your work isn’t selected, don’t be discouraged! Review the three C’s and submit your next project. Before doing so, take a moment to explore our previously published content.

The best way to understand what we’re looking for is to immerse yourself in the site—there’s no substitute for market research.

Still not sure?

Motionographer.com features thousands of articles by industry thought leaders dating back to our inception. Why not read some pieces from the last few years? Every site has different tastes, and if you take the time to discover what we publish, you’ll find it much easier to decide what to send us.

Word count

We are currently only considering articles up to 2,000 words (not including the title and credits).

You may approach us with a regular series or a one-off piece. Should we achieve positive feedback from your work, we’d consider longer content for the right idea.

Original and Authentic

Your article must be unpublished and not scheduled for publication. We ask that you let us know if this changes. The article must, of course, be the entrant’s own original work.

Our response times

We aim to reply to all submissions within four weeks. Please avoid emailing us for feedback until this period has passed.

One final note

If your work is not selected, please don’t be discouraged! Check out some of our previously published content. The best way to understand the types of work we are looking for is to immerse yourself in the site. There is no substitute for market research.
