Remember the wild things, giant bean stalks, and green eggs? How about drawing worlds with purple crayons, traveling the Yellow Brick Road or flying off to Neverland? For many of us, books were an escape: a fantasy world, where we made new friends and learned to dream. Now, imagine growing up without those stories. The sad truth is that some kids actually do.
Reading is Fundamental (RIF) teamed up with Curious Pictures and Mother New York to create “Book People Unite.” The PSA launched a nation wide campaign to raise awareness and funds for children’s literacy. Produced by The Roots, the musical track features the vocal talents of Jack Black, Chris Martin, John Legend and more, while the film brings together some of the most beloved literary characters of our time.
