JM Blay is a director and designer with over 20 years of experience working in the creative industry, he has worked for films, television, and advertising; as well as for music videos, digital products, and video games.
He has collaborated with studios like Prologue Films, The Mill, MPC, Nexus, Momoco, Spov, or Territory and agencies like Red Bee, Huge, Imagination, or Critical Mass. Developing projects for NBC Universal, Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros, BBC, Panasonic, Sony, Marvel, Netflix, Metro Goldwyn Mayer, Nikon, Lenovo, Adidas, Reebok, Adobe, Citi Bank, or Activision among others.
His work has been featured in magazines like 3D Artist or 3D World and he’s given conferences in festivals like the VFX Festival (London, UK), Vertex (London, UK), Adobe Summit for Education (London, UK), or Digital (Valencia, Spain). He is also a regular guest speaker in Adobe Generation Pro.
JM has a degree in Fine Arts, a Master’s Degree in Audiovisual Communication, and a Ph.D. in design in the field of motion graphics. He has lectured in places such as Ravensbourne College of London (UK), University Of York (UK), Greenwich University (UK), Grafisch Lyceum Rotterdam (Netherlands), Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain), or Escape Studios – Pearson College (UK) where he was the founder of the motion graphics department and lectured in 9 courses, tutoring more than 100 students.
He started his career in Valencia, his hometown, where he eventually had his own studio. In 2011, he moved to London looking for new challenges, and after 7 years of living and working in London, JM returned to Valencia and founded Blay Studio.
Blay Studio specializes in creating graphic communication and storytelling with a strong visual narrative using motion graphics and animation to connect their clients with their audiences in a meaningful way. Working for advertising and marketing agencies, and film studios, producing projects from start to delivery or helping on any part of the process.
