Maxon’s Fall 2026 Release Adds Cinema 4D Scatter and Liquid FX

Maxon has released its Fall 2026 updates, introducing the 2027.0 versions of Cinema 4D, ZBrush, Redshift, Red Giant and Autograph. Announced on October 14, the release adds tools for building dense environments, extending liquid simulations and moving work between applications.

In Cinema 4D, the new Scatter System distributes objects such as vegetation, rocks and debris, with controls for clustering, filtering and transforms. Its connection to MoGraph means artists can use Fields and Effectors to shape and animate those distributions. Liquid FX adds foam, spray and bubbles that respond to an existing liquid simulation.

ZBrush gains a UV Editor with UDIM and texel-density support, plus Selection Sets for saving and recalling masks, Polygroups and other configurations. On iPad, Spotlight and non-destructive 3D Layers extend reference, painting and sculpting workflows.

Maxon says Redshift’s revised memory architecture and interaction updates reduce the delay between scene changes and rendered feedback. The update also introduces procedural fur, fibers, textiles and knitted materials generated at render time. These are the developer’s stated capabilities, rather than results from an independent performance test.

For compositing, Red Giant adds Scene Light, an AI-powered relighting tool for After Effects, while Maxon Noise brings Cinema 4D-style procedural noise into Universe. Autograph gains an optional Model Context Protocol server for connecting supported AI tools to its native workflows, along with a direct Cinema 4D connection for copying supported 3D elements, cameras, lights and animation into the application.

The releases became available on October 14. See Maxon’s full announcement for the feature details.
