Monumental FX, the Paris-based visual effects and 3D animation studio, has established a US presence through a non-exclusive partnership with Modern Post. Announced on September 21, the agreement gives Monumental a US home base, with Modern Post providing local workflow, project management and finishing support for its American clients and agencies.

For Modern Post, the arrangement expands the visual effects resources it can bring to projects alongside its editing, color and finishing services. For Monumental, it creates a local point of contact for US filmmakers, brands and agencies working with its Paris team.
Monumental’s side of the partnership is led by co-founder Germain Robin, VFX creative director Mathieu Jussreandot and head of post-production Zoé Deurloo-Maka. Deurloo-Maka oversees the Paris VFX team and serves as a US-facing contact. Modern Post managing partner and executive producer Charlyn Derrick oversees the relationship with support from a dedicated US team.
“There’s a lot of creative crossover between our two companies,” says Derrick, describing the partnership as an extension of their work together.
Robin says the aim is to make working with Monumental as straightforward for American collaborators as working with a local studio. Founded in 2021, Monumental’s recent US-facing credits include Nike, Apple, Epic Games’ Fortnite Festival and Madonna.
