Award-winning director and multidisciplinary artist Reza Dolatabadi has teamed up with Jorge Aguilera and Ale Saevich, the duo behind production company Madrefoca, to launch NOBORDER—a new animation and design studio with a global focus and a clear creative vision.
Drawing on years of experience across the UK, US, and Latin America, NOBORDER aims to deliver animation, design, live show visuals, and immersive content for brands, entertainment, and cultural institutions.
Reza, known for his work on visuals for U2, Cyndi Lauper, and Lionel Richie, as well as projects with Formula 1, Aston Martin, and AAA game titles, brings a strong blend of animation, live action, and design to the table. His work has earned him recognition across the live performance and visual storytelling space.
On the studio’s name, Reza says, “If we were going to push boundaries, we needed a place without them.” At NOBORDER, he leads the creative direction, while Aguilera and Saevich handle production. With backgrounds in film, advertising, and branded content, the Madrefoca founders bring structure and scale to match the ambition.
“We’re lean and flexible, but always focused on craft,” says Aguilera. Saevich adds, “We’re a small team that delivers like a big one. That’s where the industry’s heading.”
