Animation studio Panic partnered with The Luka Dončić Foundation (TLDF) to create bold, dynamic illustrations that bring the diversity of youth basketball and Luka’s Total Hoops Approach to life. These visuals celebrate the essence of play and the emotional highs of the game, spotlighting the importance of both team-driven play and individual creativity.
Inspired by TLDF’s Inside Youth Basketball Report, Panic crafted artwork that reflects the cultural differences in how kids play in the US and the Balkans. “Unstructured play fosters creativity and enjoyment,” says Panic CEO Rita Alika Šteimane. The studio embraced this philosophy, encouraging their artists to experiment and have fun while creating.
The characters burst with energy and attitude, using exaggerated, abstract forms with bold black outlines reminiscent of classic cartoons and sticker art. Panic’s playful illustrations visualize a world where kids play for the love of the game, helping TLDF spread its mission: every child deserves the chance to play.
