RenderJuice has announced Speed, a free Blender animation contest inviting artists to create a 5–30 second animation around the theme of speed. Co-hosted with artist Florin Flammer, the contest offers $5,000 in total prize value: $1,500 in cash and $3,500 in RenderJuice rendering credits.

Submissions open October 15, 2026 at 00:00 UTC and close October 31 at 23:59 UTC. Blender must be the main creation tool, but entrants can render their work anywhere.
Alongside first, second and third place, the contest includes awards for procedural and programmatic animation, simulation and FX, Motion Design, funniest animation, Community Choice and Best RenderJuice Promo. Judges may also select honorable mentions outside the $5,000 prize pool.
The procedural and programmatic category covers work made with tools such as Blender’s bpy API, Geometry Nodes, drivers, code and automation. Entrants should describe the techniques used in their animation.
To enter, create a free RenderJuice account, join the contest Discord and submit a 5–30 second MP4 or public video link, a short description and one Blender work-in-progress image. No paid subscription is required.
Two RenderJuice admins and Florin Flammer will judge the major and specialty awards using the published criteria. Community Choice will be decided by Discord voting, which closes November 3, 2026 at 23:59 UTC.
