Córdoba-based graphic designer Jose Manuel Fernández has launched Sekondo, a plugin that connects ChatGPT and Claude to six Adobe applications: After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Lightroom Classic.
Instead of generating new images or clips, the AI works inside the artist’s own project. You describe what you need, typed or spoken, and it applies the changes to your layers, keyframes, compositions and timelines, with everything left editable.

Like at any studio, a good part of Fernández’s day went into repetitive work: adapting a piece to twenty formats, versioning, building the same lower thirds again and again.
“These tasks are necessary, but they eat up hours I’d rather spend thinking up an idea. I built Sekondo to have more time to design.”
In Premiere Pro and After Effects, Sekondo can edit, animate and finish complete pieces with the artist’s own footage and under their direction, from the first cut to complex motion. Rather than handing back a finished clip that can’t be changed, it reads how a project is built, measures before it acts and keeps every layer editable.

The artist decides how far it goes: carrying out instructions, suggesting ideas and options, or building a whole piece from their idea. Files never leave the user’s computer.
Sekondo is published on Adobe Exchange, Adobe’s official marketplace for these apps, after passing Adobe’s review. It runs on macOS and Windows with the Claude and ChatGPT desktop apps.
