Antonio Cicarelli was inspired by a winter trip to Alaska and a stay at the Captain Cook Hotel in Anchorage: “I kept returning to the paintings of Cook’s arrival on the walls and wondered: what if this story went another way?”
For this short trailer, he wanted to push AI filmmaking in a different direction—away from sci-fi and hyper-surrealism—and toward something more restrained. An independent-film tone: gritty, atmospheric, and grounded, with 35mm framing and aesthetics.
