Posing a new threat, the sinister tech corporation The Guild aims to disrupt world order and cause chaos by creating a techno-feudalist reality enforced by an army of robotic infantry. Territory’s mission was to create nine bespoke films to drive the Co-Op Campaign mode narrative, using an inverted colour spectrum and referencing quantum compute time-crystals to build a unique look employed across each cut-scene.

Within the future world of the game, the protagonists receive their objectives around a Holo-table, where key intentions, milestones, and targets are highlighted for the mission to come. Inspired by the premise of a digital three-dimensional microfiche, the studio created an abstract environment that immerses the player in the centre of the mission briefing mainframe, where layer upon layer of information can be presented from any angle and viewed from any perspective.

For Black Ops 7, Territory established geographical landscapes through a combination of digitised topography lines and crystalline relief forms, creating a duality between the tactile physical nature of glass and the mercurial abstraction of iridescence and digital pixels. Recognisable ingredients such as ASCII and subtle circuit-inspired textures gave the visuals a familiar digital grounding while maintaining a future-forward tone.

Within the mainframe briefings, the studio represented targets, enemies, and persons of interest in multiple ways, whether as a digital wireframe construct, a holographic projection, or a futuristic dossier. Each character and moment felt connected while leveraging its own unique personality and presence.
Typography from the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 cinematics by Territory Studio.Visualising The Cradle from Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 by Territory Studio.Typography was key throughout the cinematics, not just as a communication vehicle but as aesthetic furniture to support and elevate each sequence, carrying pace and maintaining rhythm. Type was bold and unapologetic, blending strong composition with high-pace staccato animation for a frenetic energy. For The Cradle, a hallucinogenic toxin released by The Guild, the studio employed a strong contrast colour to signal the shift from digital to bio.
