EA SPORTS has launched its new socially-driven app, built to connect, engage, and reward fans everywhere through the sports they love. A space where the real and the virtual blend seamlessly, putting EA Sports right at the center of entertainment, sport, and culture.
Niceshit Studio teamed up with Further (previously DesignStudio) to craft the in-app illustration system that will accompany and encourage the users through their experience.
After a long process of experimenting with different looks, they arrived at a clean, sharp aesthetic that feels active, powerful, and engaging, capturing the irresistible excitement of winning sports prizes.
The App was developed along a new and fresh rebrand so it was a full collaborative effort, making sure every asset they created lived cohesively with the EA Sports ecosystem.
One of the biggest challenges was turning their designs and animations into code — translating them into JSON files and then into Skottie animations, each with its own tricky limitations. The bright side? They cracked the code. Now they can bring illustrations and animations to life inside any app.
