La Chingona | Muscle Beach

Muscle Beach is a Madrid-based Production Studio specializing in design and animation powered by Artificial Intelligence. Their latest project, La Chingona, was created in collaboration with PS21 for KFC.

At Muscle Beach, they believe the future of production lies in fearlessly blending the handmade with the technological. So, when PS21 invited them to join this campaign for KFC, they knew it was the perfect opportunity to put their signature mix into action: traditional animation, AI, and a healthy dose of classic postproduction.

What started out as a simple poster for bus stops turned into something much bigger. They got carried away and ended up producing a 30-second film, complete with animated characters, sound design, mariachis, and even an original soundtrack.

“We’re not entirely sure how it happened… but we’re thrilled that it did,” stated Mónica Colomer, Executive Producer at Muscle Beach. This unique process is highlighted through Muscle Beach’s case study for La Chingona.

The result is a piece with a very distinctive aesthetic: tactile, quirky, imperfect, and fun. Something that, they believe, stands apart from most of what’s out there in today’s advertising landscape.

Muscle Beach may be new to the scene, but they’re full of energy and excited to approach audiovisual content creation from a fresh angle.
