As producers, when we discovered CLAVEL GRIS, an alumni work presented at the Annecy Festival in 2023, we were astonished.When we finally met the three co-creators, we understood they need a “carte blanche” project to improve fully their superb creativity. We organize a meeting with a french composer Arnold Turboust, who is totally cult in France since the 80’s, quite well known for his collaboration with Etienne Daho and Brigitte Fontaine.He’s playing with words and poetry as they do with design, colors and animation. The moment they meet, they didn’t stop sharing references and stories during 2 hours. After that Arnold, let them free to propose what they want for his music video.And here we are: a story about the end of childhood, envy and desire ; a story about a boy, three ladies and a bird, lost in a house which isn’t their home, during an endless winter. It’s a full traditional 2D animation work. And it’s their first direction.
