“We didn’t set out to change the world, just make it sound better.”
The newest single by The New Condition, “Maybe” celebrated its release with their accompanying music video.
The New Condition is a band created by Fletcher Moules. The album is mixed by Mark Saunders (The Cure, Erasure, Depeche Mode) with mastering by Matt Colton (Blur, Charli XCX, New Order).
Fletcher’s expansive journey as an artist led him to the inspiration behind The New Condition. He began his career in film working on Star Wars Episode II, before transitioning to animation, having been a director at both Psyop and Nexus Studios. Working on various Netflix projects, he directed the Emmy award-winning special, Entergalactic, and was co-writer and EP on Agent Elvis. Prior to that, he built the Clash of Clans universe at Psyop that led to billions of Youtube views and is now showrunner on the Clash of Clans Netflix series.
While making Entergalatic, Fletcher spent time in the studio with Kid Cudi and found himself inspired to get back into music. The New Condition marks his return to music, infused with personal touch and an uplifting approach.
In order to make his mark, Fletcher created the music video entirely using Google’s Flow Veo3 AI: “As a member of the Television Academy, I’m very aware of the risks and responsibility when AI is used in film and television. But I also believe it’s important to embrace technology, especially when it can be applied ethically to further communication.”
The music video for “Maybe” was created using only his own images or licensed images as the reference for all prompts. Ethically utilizing these tools as an extension of Animation and Motion Design resulted in a music video produced for just $300. The video is not only near indistinguishable from live action, but personal, bold, and inspiring.
