Under the concept Night Landscapes, DAQ created the visual identity and outdoor advertising campaign for the Llum BCN festival, which was recently held in Barcelona. A series of scenes featuring dreamlike, magical spaces were developed, infused with a source of light and energy that interacts with the architecture.
The aim is to convey the emotional and subjective dimension that light can generate, turning each graphic piece into a moment of contemplation and visual experimentation.
The project explores light as a physical material capable of transforming our perception of space. Light does not merely illuminate; it shapes, constructs, and transforms its surroundings. Depending on its intensity, direction, or movement, light impacts volumes, generates shadows, dissolves forms, and creates new visual spaces.
For the campaign, four different visuals were created, one for each festival category: light installations by local and international professionals; projects from art, design, and architecture schools; installations by cultural institutions and companies; and, finally, installations linked to the Barcelona 2026 World Capital of Architecture initiative. Each visual also has an animated version, and together they form the main animated piece of the campaign, which is shared in this post.
The Llum BCN festival is a well-established event that presents artistic proposals spanning contemporary art, design, architecture, scenography, and digital arts, showcasing the infinite creative possibilities of light.
