Not To Scale – Peter Baynton | A Thrilling Engagement
The Famous Five return in a thrilling new animated short for Great Western Railway (GWR), produced by Not To Scale and adam&eveDDB. Directed by Oscar and BAFTA-winner Peter Baynton, the film blends 3D depth with hand-drawn 2D charm, inspired by Eileen Soper’s iconic illustrations. The story follows Essie, who plans a picturesque day out with Maya, complete with a secret romantic proposal—until a misplaced ring jeopardizes the surprise. Tasked with saving the day, the Five harness GWR’s speedy trains to race across lush English landscapes (brought to life by Not To Scale’s artists) and recover the lost heirloom.
