Opening Titles Beyond Tellerrand Berlin 2025 | Pikdrei

The Beyond Tellerrand Conference is a beloved meeting point for coders, designers, artists, and technologists.

For the 2025 edition in Berlin, Pikdrei was invited once more to create the Opening Titles. The concept emerged from one of the conference’s core ideas: when creatives and coders meet, something new comes into existence. Ideas intersect, overlap, and transform. And from these encounters, fresh sparks of creativity emerge.

Inspired by the bold, graffiti-esque key visual, Pikdrei built the sequence around the notion of intersection and creation.

To capture the tactile, urban quality of the artwork, Pikdrei combined hand-drawn, frame-by-frame animation with Houdini-driven procedural systems and continuously shifting 3D renderings. The result is a short, energetic introduction that sets the emotional tone for the speakers on stage: fast, layered, expressive, and unmistakably Berlin.

The sound design, created in close collaboration with Tobias Neumann, long-term audio partner, complements the visual language by incorporating the intensity, grit, and rhythm of the city.

Together, image and sound merge into a compact 60-second burst of motion, texture, and creative tension: a fitting start to an inspiring gathering in the digital-creative landscape.
