Salesforce Lobby Screens: Inflatable Art | Coat of Arms
Coat of Arms designs a global animation system of drifting inflatables for Salesforce’s office lobby screens, from New York City to Dublin to Sydney. Lobbies are thresholds for the first breath before a meeting, a new job, or an unfamiliar day. For Salesforce’s global offices, from New York City to Dublin to Sydney, we wanted to create something light to meet people in that moment. Something playful, tactile, and alive. Something to say, welcome. We’re glad you’re here.
Working with Salesforce, we designed a global animation system of drifting inflatables and character forms that slowly fill the space like a celebration. This project was not about creating a singular, static animation. It was a complex exercise in designing a flexible, dynamic system capable of adapting to a multitude of display environments. The core challenge was to ensure visual consistency and technical efficiency while accommodating extreme variations across numerous deployment locations. The result is a visually arresting and emotionally resonant digital installation. It successfully navigates the delicate line between sheer delight and necessary corporate refinement. The animations are ambient enough to function as a sophisticated backdrop for the lobby environment throughout the day, preventing viewer fatigue.
Concurrently, their engaging motion, vibrant color palette, and sense of playful physics are strong enough to interrupt a visitor’s journey, compelling them to pause and fully experience Salesforce’s personality upon entering the physical space. We hope you get to see them in person.
