Motionographer® Sweetpea – Title Sequence

Following their win at the 2025 BAFTA Craft Awards, Peter Anderson Studio features their title sequence created for Sky Atlantic’s Sweetpea.

This sequence takes viewers on a vivid descent into the fractured psyche of the show’s protagonist, Rhiannon. Merging brutalist painting aesthetics with painterly compositions, they crafted a world where neon lights shimmer on rain-slicked streets and shadows creep through the mundane. Each frame pulses with symbolic tension—everyday objects morph into menacing emblems, reflecting the dark humour and psychological chaos of Rhiannon’s reality.

To complement this visual language, they developed a bespoke hand-drawn typeface that lends each credit a raw, imperfect texture. The title card subtly heightens the unease: the “t” and “p” extend into blade-like forms as the title reveals itself, creating a sharp, foreboding presence that mirrors the story’s tension.
