TAO OF THE CITY is a 2.5-minute experimental short film focused on the quiet and often overlooked spaces of the contemporary city.
Shot entirely with the Ricoh GR III, the project started as a photographic exploration of urban stillness — physical, intentional, and rooted in real-world observation. AI tools were later used to extend that process. Using AI, the still frames were animated and developed into a seamless visual narrative.
The goal was not to generate, but to amplify — adding continuity and atmosphere to something already designed with a human eye.
The result is a reflection on both urban space and creative authorship: how technology can support a personal vision without replacing it.
