Reigning F1 champions, McLaren, brought us on to produce the walk out film for their 2025 F1 season launch event, held at the O2 in London.
We developed a hero film that paid homage to the past and present of McLaren F1 racing, showcasing 10 CG car models and drivers racing each other through the timeline of McLaren’s history. We modeled 10 cars in 3D and combined realistic animated race scenes with archival footage from the brand for a fast-paced race through time.
W&F partnered with the McLaren brand team on concept development, then it was off to the races with boards/previs, CG modeling, and animation.
