Location: The Masonic Temple & CTV- 299 Queen St.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Overtime as required.

Responsibilities:
• Design & execute animated graphics ranging from show packaging to on-air promos & special campaigns for MTV.
• Work closely with the design team as well as production and promotion teams.
• Perform any associated duties that may be assigned in relation to the completion of the position’s responsibilities

Qualifications:
• Artistic aptitude, exceptional sense of design
• Clear interest in and passion about youth culture and music.
• Experience with delivering quality results under high pressure deadlines.
• Must be self-motivated, able to multi-task and work well with others and as part of a team
• Expert knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop.
• 3D software knowledge an asset.

We are seeking a designer with experience in television motion graphics creation. A minimum of 3 years experience working in a collaborative environment is needed. A highly motivated self starter would be ideal. You will work directly with clients, having great interpersonal skills is a must. The ability to take a concept, be it a story board or script, and realize it through visual communication is key to this role. In terms of toolset, we require that you are proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects as a primary. Secondary tools include, Dreamwear, Flash, and Acrobat Professional. It is important that you know how to manage your files, keeping projects organized, using common naming conventions, etc. You will have the choice whether you work on a Mac of a PC, or both if you prefer. We have CS4 for all our adobe apps.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5 to 7 years in the industry or related experience, managing a production team and clients. • Excellent client and partner management and negotiation skills. • Demonstrated experience running large projects. • Experience with various projects types, including web, mobile, video, brand, and experiential. • Manage sizeable teams with the ability to communicate across disciplines (production, creative, admin). • Strong leadership and communication skills. • Deep understanding of project management, workflow and infrastructure. • Must have strong presentation, verbal and written skills. • Must think quickly under pressure, as well as motivate and engage the team to produce the best possible results.
