Nicolas Menard: CompHealth “Locum Tenens”

These days, explainer-style videos are a dime a dozen. It’s rare to come across one that stands out. When you add to that the “excitement” of the healthcare system and the pacing of a VO-less explainer video, you have a recipe for a reduced view-through rate.

These challenges didn’t stop Nicolas Menard with his latest film through Nexus Productions. With an expert pairing of image and sound, outstanding character design, clever typography and a stellar understanding of form, Nicolas’ new film is engaging and memorable to say the least.

Beautiful work and another example of the strength of Nicolas’ voice.

From Nicolas:
Produced at Nexus, this piece for CompHealth aims at educating the US public on who Locum Tenens doctors are and why they are important. Illustration and typography have been combined to deliver the script in a children’s book fashion.

Update: For more of the same lovely illustration style and a deeper dive into the data, check out the Locumstory site.
