Charly Soccer x Héctor Herrera – Quetzalcoatl | Open Fire Media
From Open Fire Media:
We got to make something pretty special with Charly Soccer and Héctor Herrera for the launch of their new Quetzalcoatl shoe, and it went somewhere we didn’t expect.
Directors Levi Arnold and Jared Martinez built the whole thing around Aztec myth. The legend of Quetzalcoatl, the feathered serpent god who moved between worlds, felt like a natural fit for Héctor Herrera and a shoe with that name.
The film opens in CGI to set the stage, then drops into something more grounded: no plug-ins, no effect suites, just grading, masks, and blurs. Aside from the shots of the shoe, which are also CGI, we wanted to let the shots carry it.
The hero spot, social assets, and BTS are all out.
