Last year, I explored various designs related to gradients in Cavalry. Many of the color combinations were randomly chosen without a specific outcome or style in mind. I gradually found direction through constant experimentation.
Since the core of the project relied on blending modes, I was able to achieve a variety of designs. Once the colors were decided, I used the Duplicator to create different shapes and applied stagger to animate them.
Motion is my strength, so I selected some designs with a unified style from the drafts. This animation doesn’t really have a narrative—it’ more like a collection of animated pieces.
Once again, I collaborated with Vincent Gaudas for the music design. During the early discussions, I provided some descriptive keywords, such as retro-futuristic, sci-fi, and science fiction. The final result turned out amazing—we both enjoy creating something fresh and exciting!
